Physical vs Chemical Sunscreen
A Physical Sunscreen contains active mineral ingredients, such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which work by sitting on top of the skin surface to deflect and scatter damaging UV rays away from the skin. A physical spf will provide protection immediately at application from UVA and UVB rays. A Chemical Sunscreen contains carbon-based compounds, such as oxybenzone, octinoxate, octisalate, and avobenzone, which create a chemical reaction and work by changing UV rays into heat, then releasing that heat from the skin. A chemical spf requires about 20 minutes after application before it starts to work. Which ever you choose to protect your skin with, a Physical or Chemical Sunscreen, we recommend a SPF 30 or higher and reapply every 80 minutes. #PROTECT

Say goodbye to red, sun damaged, aging skin with the innovative Intense Pulsed Light treatment. So what is IPL? IPL or Photofacial is a treatment that uses intense pulses of light to penetrate deep into the skin to treat hyperpigmentation, redness and enhance collagen production. We've listed the top 5 reasons you should invest in IPL treatments. Trust us, you'll thank us later!
1. It can be done anywhere
Most clients will start on the facial area but once they start to see the results, they tend to treat other problem areas such as neck, chest, shoulders and back. IPL treatments can be done anywhere on the body.
2. Keeps the skin clear from brown spots, small blood vessels and acne
If you have irregular pigmentation to your skin or small blood vessels that have become visible, IPL is a great solution to help clear the skin. If you suffer from acne or redness and inflammation caused by acne, IPL treatments can help. IPL treatments will reduce the redness and inflammation and kill the P bacteria that is causing acne.
3. Minimizes the signs of aging
Photofacial reduces wrinkles, sunspots and other indicators of aging. IPL will stimulate collagen growth by treating a deeper layer of skin, while improving texture, and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
4. IPL can be done in conjunction with other treatments
Since IPL treatments target the deeper layers of skin, they can be performed with other skin treatments such as microdermabrasion, facials or chemical peels.
5. It's quick, easy and painless
IPL treatments can range anywhere from 15 minutes to hour long treatments, which can easily be added into your busy schedule. There is little down time associated with IPL and you can continue with your daily routines.
